I had a wonderful week in Dunnellon at the Florida Samboree.
This was a very hard week, it was the last Samboree Ira & I did together. It was the best place for me to be, among my friends who knew this and expressed their concerns, their support and pride in what I am doing. I can not express and hope you know what I mean when I say I am Blessed to be cared for, to be hugged by people who really care and tell you they love you is the most awesome thing there is.
My daughter wanted me to thank them for taking care of her mother, she doesn't worry knowing I am with them.
I did a "Be Prepared" and "First Timers" Seminar. Had Soup with Skyway Sams, went on a Manatees river tour with Tallahassee Sams, answered many questions, Talked a lot and hugged a lot and did a little dancing.
My friends, John & Bill, while their wives and I watched, from Ct. fixed my screen door.
Bill & Diane, State Director, asked me to stay Sunday. They invited me to go with them and the Staff on a Nature River tour and a Staff dinner. It was fun being with them and a privilege to be included.
I left Monday, about twenty minutes of driving and the hot, oil smell happened again. I was at a four way red light "What do I do, quick light change, find a place and get off the road". I found a good place. Turned the motor off. "Now what- Look around, what do you see". I saw small clouds of smoke floating, I saw this coming out of the Brake control system for the van. I jumped out of the coach, unhooked the brake system in the van. The smoke stopped. "Now what should I do? Do I go down the road, what if the smoke starts again? Call ERS" They connected me with a technician. He said, I did OK and he didn't think there would be a problem. He asked me to drive about twenty miles and call back to let him know what is happening. We talked a couple of times before I got to the RV park. It was comforting to know he was there and could come if there was a problem.
When I arrived at the resort I drove by the Ohio Good Samers, let them know I had arrived and picked up my mail, Mike & Sue had been getting my mail. Good to be here for two weeks. "We are going on a gambling cruise tomorrow do you want to join us?"
Thanks, but no, I have mail and taxes to get done.
I need to share another happening with the spirit of Ira. There are some nights I have a hard time sleeping. One night at the Samboree, I finally decided to get a hot chocolate and toast, maybe that would help. I have the Direct*TV set on "Escape", music most of the time. I decide I check to see what was on TV while waiting for the toast to toast. The music came on "Only You" our wedding song. I was amazed. I said OK Ira you are telling me you are here and It's OK so I can sleep. I had my Hot Choc, Toast and went to sleep. I know some of you won't believe this but when these things happen it's comforting.
I have a busy week and you wouldn't believe what's happened this week so far.
Check later this week to find out.
Thanks for caring and checking in on me. Love & Hugs Rosemary

You can't possibly be surprised by all the love around you! What an amazing journey you're on. Hope to see you this summer and again in September! xoxo
I listen to the Escape channel, too! And I do believe our loved ones have ways to comfort us from beyond the grave. "Only You" was Ira's way.
