I hope you don't get tired of the things, challenges that I face.
I planned to leave Tuesday for the Mass. Samboree.
Well, Monday because of a cold, sinus and concern it would go to my chest, into bronchitis or pneumonia, I went to the doctors. He said it was a virus keep taking and do what I was doing, but suggested a pedee pod. A thing to rinse the sinus cavity and the virus would run it's course. I decided to wait until Wednesday to get more rest and hopefully feel better.
Wednesday, Goodbye to family. They left for school and work and I would get ready and leave.
I try to bring the front slides in and they wouldn't move. So I and think, why won't they come in? It must be the bay door aren't closed. I checked the door, all closed and look good. Still the slides wouldn't come in. I did not want to call ERS. I decide to call the manufacturer. I talked to a guy and he told me to check the two wires that are attached to the gadget that signals the doors are closed. They were all hooked on and looked OK. He said go the automotive store get as blade fuse. ( I Did, but did I know what he was talking about? NO) The car dealer is a mile away so I went. What size do I want? There are so many. I explained the problem he suggested I go back look at the Manuel and find where the fusses are.
Outside drivers side is a fuse box and all are labeled. I'm proud. The fuse for the slides, I put out, take it to car dealer, parts department, show him the fuse and buy two. I'm so smart.
Back to the coach and install the new fuse. Press the slide button and no movement.
I call Monaco again and get a different guy. He walks me through, start motor, take off the brake, put brake on, check slide. Check the bay doors, check the wires. then he says," pull the wires off and put the wires in the fuse". ( I think this is what the other guy was telling me but It didn't make sense earlier) Do this to all the slided and see if that works. (When I saw the fuses they were talking about I had a lot of different fuses, so I had them to try this experiment). It worked on the fourth door the slides came in.
"On The Road Again" Start the motor, Black smoke and knocking. I called Cummings and got Mike. by that time 2-3 minutes the motor had cleared and sounded OK. I had called Mike the week earlier because of this same thing and he heard the racked and thought he knew what was wrong and had told me to start it up each day to see if it had cleared up. I did and it cleared so I thought all was OK.
Mike said bring it in. So Wednesday I go to the Cummings dealer. Ed checks with a computer and they find the problem. Need to order parts. I stay over night and Ed starts on it the next morning. I am so pleased with the service these guys are giving me. I know they are there for me. I know a lot of the mechanics now and they talked to me while I was there. Ed explained the box Ira had, that plugs into the engine socket, so there are a few things I can watch out for now. I feel so great having these guys care and take care of the coach.
I left around 1Pm and arrived in Greenfield around 5. I was parked, Dick, Bill & John appeared to hook up the water and electricity. Showed me some disconnects and shutoffs that would make the hooking up much easier. John went to the store Friday and he and Bill installed the new disconnects for me. John found another plug for the Brake system I had lost so I think I'm all set for awhile. Good thing these guys will be at most of the Samboree I will be going too.
Dick & Judy, NH, invited ME for dinner Thursday and after the rough day and not feeling well, that was a God send.
I'm doing seminars and meeting friends I haven't seen for a few years. They miss Ira and they are so Proud I'm here and traveling. It's so great to be with these caring people. I'm OK
I wanted you to know I got here OK and I will be here until Monday when I will travel to Farmington Maine for the Maine Samboree.
Keep tuned and keep praying. Thanks and Love you . Hugs Rosemary

Hey, Rosemary,
There's always something new to learn about these rigs. I'm new to slides, just having bought the Winnebago with the one slide out. Still learning to use it. But man! What roominess when the slide is out!
I heard from Ginny. She misses Brad terribly, as you know all too well, but is keeping busy watching her grandchildren play sports.
Take care and happy trails.
Cheryl
PS Norman says hello, too.
