Travels to Virginia

Tuesday, Oct.2, 2007
I left Ct. at 6:30, in the dark, so I could get through Hartford before the working traffic. Well, I got there just in time for the heavy traffic. I planned to go down Rt 91, but I was following a truck that I though might be going my way. He kept on 84 and I missed my route. I knew I would have circled the city and got 84 on the west side so I didn't panic. I just followed the truck.
At another place, I thought I was suppose to go 83. I went to the right side of the road to check before making a mistake. I looked at the map 83 or 81 . I needed 81 but my mind still thought 83 so I tried to get across four lanes of traffic. They would not let me through I was forced to go 81. I thought Ok. I will go and find the way over to 83. When my thinking cleared, I said Thanks Ira and my angels , I was suppose to go 81, the road I was on.

It amazing when I come out of a rest area onto the highway my angles clear the road for me. This was the only time I could not get where I thought I was suppose to be.

All your prayers are working.

I drove 522 miles today and I wasn't as tired as I was Monday when I drove 203. I guess I'm getting use to the rig and the handling of it.

My Van has a dead battery, Another camper and a trucker got cables to start it. It wouldn't start so I'm letting it set for the night. I can pull it, in neutral if it doesn't start. Don't know why it died. I'm praying tomorrow it will start. If it doesn't I will have to decide call ERS or continue and have them come into the Samboree and see what is wrong.

Just more excitement and challenges for me. I am not discouraged. I figure these are things that need to be taken care of and how would I know unless they let me know.

I'm in Staunton, Virginia. I called Ira's cousin Rita , she and her husband Lenny cam eto visit for the evening. It was great seeing them.

Journey continues tomorrow. Good night. Hugs R
