Back in Jacksonville, Florida

Hi, I traveled 1482 miles to Ms, La. and back top Jacksonville. 3,075 miles driven from Maine, Ms., La. and here. Good driving experience.

I stopped in Daphne,AL. for the night and visited Bill and Maxine. We went to dinner with their daughter, Ann, and her friend, Bill. It was fun meeting them and we had a nice visit. Bill & Maxine came by at 6:30 am and took me to IHOP for breakfast then sent me on my way. How blessed, I am to have these friends along the way I can visit.

It was an easy trip, only sad part was getting diesel at $3.38 a gallon. Oh well, I won't be moving much more this winter. I should be able to do all the Florida traveling on the fuel I have.

When I arrived at the grounds, my van was in my parking space. I got keys, pressed the button to unlock the door. OH No! it doesn't open. DEAD BATTERY. I got the battery charger out, called the car dealer to set up an appointment.

I took the van in this am. When I go back I will find out what was done before they decided, the problem was the after market electrical hookup for the lights and brakes when it is towed. I wonder if they will hook these up when they are done or I will have to find someone to do it. I didn't want to address that yet. Find out what's wrong get if fixed then discuss what and why the hookups were taken off. I guess these are things to keep me occupied. :)

Jack and Jane picked my up and we went to breakfast. When van is ready they will take me to get it.

This is getting like a soap opera, What will happen next?

Al & Louise are on their way over to bring me my mail. These are some more wonderful friends. They live here in Jacksonville.

I will write later in the week about van and where I go next Monday. Do You remember?
