Hi, I'm in Maine. I left Wednesday afternoon for Orlando and the Holiday Inn. I didn't want to fight the traffic Thursday morning.
I arrive at the Hotel and got checked in around 5. I went to Denny's for dinner and then a quiet evening. I got a call from Martha, around 11," Do you know what the weather is in Maine? It's snowing hard check the airport before you leave". See the friends,I have. She called from Texas.
Thursday, 20th Flight on time. I was up at 6, at Denny's for breakfast and on to the airport. I like this Hotel, I pay and I can leave my van there for a month, I will be gone until Jan 12. The hotel shuttle takes me to airport and picks me up, no hassle.
I got to Maine half hour early, Kara, daughter-in-law and two boys were there to greet me with a warm winter coat. It took them double the time to get to the airport. School was closed and roads are bad.
I got a call from brother Jim, last night, from Fl, "We are ready to start a movie, you coming in?" He was being funny. I always spent the evening with them and saw some great movies. All the Tim Allen Christmas Cd's, Cars and some other I had never seen. We had some great nights at the movies. Joyce bought, wouldn't believe, candy kisses all kind of flavors. Jim keep the wrappers beside his chair and would toss out the end of the evening. He said since I was gone there aren't as many wrappers. He was insinuating I had been putting my wrappers with his. I said because I wasn't there he wasn't afraid of me eating his candy so maybe he wasn't eating as much. Kids never grow up! Trying to blame it on me!
Friday 21,temperature is 18. I'm not going anywhere. I just look out and see how pretty it is.
I will be here until Jan. 7 then I fly to Ca. to the annual Good Sam meeting.
I will leave Ca. Jan 12 for Florida and go back to brother Jim's for a week.
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and thank you again for all the support you have given me this year. I hate to keep repeating myself, but unless you have been through something like this, you can't imagine the comfort and love I feel from you all and how much it truly helps.
I received some beautiful, heart warming e-mail messages. THANK YOU
GOG BLESS YOU ALL.
