Quebec,Ca to Rhode Island

Tuesday June 17,2008

Hi, Wow again. I had a great time in Quebec. Yolande, the new,Director's husband is an American from Pa., so there was more French interpreted in English. There were 7 coaches from New Brunswick and 5 States were represented so more English was spoken and more visiting. I was thrilled I know half the members there.

A French mechanic did a Seminar then he went to the coaches to fix or help in any way he could. JP, former Director followed along and interpreted for him. He looked at my Booboo and had a friend who could fix it but I didn't have the time and had to get to RI.

He and two others(Three french men) were in my bedroom under my bed. It was so funny I was never alone always two or three and Marion the Gal next door was there talking with me.
Jp said " You see I wouldn't leave a single women alone". Thanks Claude, JP, and my third angel.

My Quebec, Friend Barry, Now you, that know Berry don't laugh. He spend many hours checking the van. I hooked up the Brake system to go into Canada. I arrived the van started. I moved it and when I drove it in the right place the Battery was dead. Barry came to the rescue. He worked hard tracing the wires, found the breakaway wire had been unhooked. He found my coach batteries were being used not the van batteries. WE think the Brake system may be the problem. He showed me how to use the volt meter and check the battery. Check it when I stop and if low put the trickle charge on slow to give a better charge. I'm still learning.

Barry, I stopped in northern NH for the night. I put van in park checked the batteries, all OK. When I arrived in RI the van battery was still OK. So you did something. Don't let them tease you. Thanks Laura for loaning him to me. See you guys in Fryeburg at Maine Samboree.

I'm here and the guys are checking a few other things on the coach.

Thanks for your concern and love. Love you all and lots of hugs R

Probably will write again next week when I get to Maine. I will leave her Monday unless we all have to be off grounds Sunday.
