TN. to MS. and on to AL.

Monday, October, 27, 2008

Wow! where did the time go? Sorry I didn't get to do another blog. I was having problems getting service that would stay on long enough. I would loose it. I had a scare in TN. The computer wouldn't come on. It was a couple of days when I took the battery cable apart, put it together and I got electricity to the computer. It was scary enough to say I will look for a new computer this week.

I hope to buy a computer and the thing, phone you put in your ear,( whatever the name is) this week. I need my hands free when I have a problem with the coach and they tell me what to do. It had to hold phone and do what they tell me. These were the Ira things, so I have more learning.

I was hoping to put a few pictures of the TN & MS Samboree on this site,. but I don't have them yet. They will be sent to me so I will do it later.

Both Samborees were very busy and lots of fun and I guess I'm getting older. I sure was wiped out.

I arrived in Al at Tom & JoAnn's home, I was here for two weeks this spring. Tom left the Samboree around 8 yesterday JoAnn stayed until I was ready. I had to go to the memorial Church service . I needed to be there with Gloria Jane, we wanted to support Shirley. WE left around 11 and got here around 5. It was 290 miles and I traveled the roads Tom travels. It was shorter, back roads. They were good and JoAnn and I had a great time traveling together.

The van was dead again, I wonder if I will ever get that straightened out. Barry, Quebec, said I should go to a real car electrical person and I will have to find one.

I got he rig parked. I was going to take a picture of the great job, Tom did in guiding me into the spot. With my slides out there isn't much room left to the hang over on his garage. Wow It looks like a professional did it.

Well, Lets see what special things I can remember about TN. I was a judge of the county fair crafts, jelly, pickles Etc. It was the hardest because there were so many entries. We had fun tasting the preservers. The entertainment was fun. It's hard to set dignified when the music is so good. Linda told Harry to dance with me, she was sitting behind me and I probably looked like I had ants in my pants. Later there was a slow dance and you should have seen the dancing. I danced or swayed with Linda & Harry. There were groups of three, five and seven. The entertainers were amazed. We just don't want to leave anyone out.

The message started to get out that I have a serious guy. Al and I have decided we will get married. His plan was next summer when I was home he hoped he could win my heart.

God and friends got us together and when we were together, I was trying to encourage him to get out of the house, keep busy and got out with some of the Church and neighbor women.

You know he took me Kayaking and with all the talking we have been doing, without me realizing it he was getting a piece of my heart.

He planned to get together next summer, then maybe this Feb. in Fl at my brother's home, Then we decided why wait until then. I have things I have to do to finish the year.

I told Sue Bray, Good Sam, my plan and asked if I could continue as Sambassador, because I was going to get married. She said yes. I will do 2009 and she will evaluate and decide for 2010.

I decided I would leave Ca, Sambassador meeting Jan 10, fly to Maine, get married and we would fly to Fl. to my other brother's,Jim & Joyce, where the Coach will be parked while I'm gone.

I know I'm jumping around. I hope you can follow this. When Tn. Heard the news. Boy did I get some kidding. Does he know what he's getting into? Does he know what you do? Will he be jealous? Let us have his number so we can call. Lots of fun, laughter and kidding.

Then I follow four other coaches to MS. Samboree. Wow what a reception there. More kidding, All had to know all the details. Kept meeting friends tell me about his feller. More fun and teasing.

Thursday, 12 gals went to the dress shop. WE were in a style show and had to pick out clothe to model. That's fun. Well, the gals picked out my outfit, The one I needed to get married in. It's so sharp. The morning of the style show, Pat Smith, gave me her red cap to were with the outfit. It just added that little extra. Well they decided I needed to borrow the hat for the wedding. Gloria Jane is letting me borrow her Grandmother's hanky, something old. I will wear suit from Ms. cap from Al. Hanky from LA. and who know what else I will get before the wedding.

Friday night The State Director, Bobbie, said she had a big job but tonight she had another, the UPS man came by and she had a delivery. She called me on stage. No UPS man really but. She had a big brown bag in it was a big red gift bag. I was nervous. Oh my word what do I do, How do I react to this?

There was an interesting Card, and some clothing items. LOL Have fun, from the Mischievous Girls.

Pat, Betty and JoAnn. Embarrassing but fun.

The next day another friend, Lila, came by and said she and the Jewelery gal, Jean, wanted me to have THE RIGHT, earrings to wear with my wedding outfit. They gave me a beautiful red burst with white crystal, sparkeling like real diamonds, earring set.

For you that know Good Sam you know what I'm takling about, when I say Family. For my friends not in Good Sam it's hard to explain. I'm so Blessed. They tease me but it's all in love.

They have been very concerned because they don't know Al and
