Maine Arrival

Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009

Sunday traveling was rain and fog. We could see where it had snowed and iced the roads.
We got to the motel and the driveway was iced, so we were glad we got off the road for the night.
We went to Perkins for supper, the waitress , said we were lucky, that morning she was suppose to be at work at 9 and arrived at 1:30. All vehicles were off the road and emergency vehicles were trying to get through. Lots of pile-ups.

Monday was great traveling and we got home around 3. Driveway had been plowed but a lot of ice, so Al is out chopping ice, now, so the sun can melt it and dry the driveway.
Some of you in the south won't understand this. But this is what makes it more like Christmas for us. Some of you will not understand this. Snow is beautiful.

Have safe travels where ever you go and we wish you all the Merriest Christmas ever.
Love & hugs Rosemary & Al

Because of your admiration of the snow is why we can enjoy the AZ weather.. We know you will enjoy the beauty enough for us also. LOL

We were just saying that we loved it when we could sit in front of the fireplace with the inside door open a roaring fire and watch it snow through the storm door. But then we remember the shoveling, plowing and the cold northeasr winter winds and Az looks so much better to our old aching bones.
Have a great New Year and dont work Al to hard...Hugs phil and charlene darling
