WOW, A New Year. I hope you have some good plans for this year. Remember how important it is to smell the Roses and make memories.
I arrived in Orlando Sat. If any of you use this airport, let me tell you about leaving your car. Ira and I found it easier to go to the Hotel, (Holiday INN), and leave the car there for the time gone. It cost about $8.00 a day in parking lot and only $50 for a month at this Hotel. I know some of the others only allow 2-3 days if you are flying. The Hotel shuttle takes you to the airport and brings you back. No hassle.
I had a wonderful trip to Ca. It was cold but we were inside all week having meetings. We get updated and learn new things at this annual Sambassador meeting.
It great to get with the other Sambassadors and the Good Sam Partners. Some of the things is like out of space to me. Wow What's coming.
Mail Green- a mail forwarding system. You get a physical street address, they scan the mail you check your E-Mail and decide if you want it shredded, read(it can be scanned on E-Mailed or sent. Be sure to read information. This is wild to me. My mind started wondering to the future and I saw very few Postal people having jobs and postage being higher. Probably only the Full Timers or Snow Birds, those having mail forwarding would be interested. But The FUTURE is here.
Good Samers, be sure to read about the new site and the "MY COMMUNITY" place. I guess it will be like MY Space. You will be able to have a profile and group with others with similar interests. I'm so new to Internet, that, Linda at Good Sam spent a lot of time with me yesterday, helping me get set up. My name on that site is Maine Gal. This sounds like it will be fun talking with everyone. It doesn't have to be Just Good Sam. My head spins when I get into this stuff. Hopefully it will become easier for me. We got to learn something new, to keep our brains working, Right?
We had a treat Friday, it was a beautiful warm day. We went Whale watching, we saw 6 whales and other sea animals. All I can say, it was awesome. My son gave me a, Patriots, winter jacket to bring back to Jim. I was glad I had it. I decided to take it with me, if it was warm and I didn't need it no harm done. I didn't realize I was so smart Ha HA. I had that jacket on and hood up, It was so cold. I told Jim it was a new jacket but because I used it, it was second hand, he didn't care. Do you see where our PATRIOT are?
Left Ca. Sat morning. I arrived in Orlando at 6:30 so I went to my Friend, Karen's overnight. We had a nice dinner, breakfast and visit. I borrowed a few books, to read. There are still a few Nicholas Sparks I haven't read. I'm reading "At First Sight".
Sunday,I went to Camping World to make an appointment to have the electrical & lights checked and changed if needed. Appointment next Monday.
I have lots of E-Mails on Ira & my site so it will take days to get through that.
End of the month Bank and Credit Cards Statements to check and get thing ready for the IRS. Boy, and I though Ira didn't do much. Not really, but Like all for us, each have their own duties and don't realize the whole job.
I had a nice surprise. I got a call, Three people on the phone, Sandy(Me), Judy& Dick (NH), let's meet half way for lunch. We did. Lunch was about 2 1/2 hours. Thanks guys, it was so much fun reminiscing and planning for this year.
I have a nice schedule and will give it to you later, when GS lets the Directors know who they will be getting. Then I will let you know.
I will be at the Perry "Big Rally" in March. They asked me to oversee the Singles coffee each morning, and help where needed. Gloria Jane (Ms) was called and they can use her also, in the job she has done before. She will stay with me.
I'm in Sebring parked in my brother, Jim & Joyce's back yard. Wonderful accommodations with Dinner every night. I'm spoiled and love it. Thanks Jim & Joyce.
I will leave Monday, go to Camping World for appointment then on to Clerbrook RV Resort in Clermont, Fl. There are lots of friends there and I will stay for two weeks.
Thanks for tuning in.
Love you & Hugs Rosemary
