March 23, 2008.
I hope you all had a great Easter with family and friends. I'm in Dawsonville, Ga. staying a week with Pat Newsome. I am helping her pack, she is selling her home. We went to her friends for a great family Easter dinner.
I am on her computer. I'm having a problem getting a signal with mine. I'm sorry I haven't been on for an update.
I left Clermont Fl. Fri. March 7 and traveled in the rain to Perry Ga. to help get ready for the Rally.
Fri.,Gloria Jane Cotten came to stay in my coach, she was working at the Rally also. We were busy all week.
Pat Newsome came Wed. she was helping her friend sell Tupperware, but she stayed with us. We had a busy but good week. It was good for the three of us to get together and talk about our life changes and where we go from here.
While I was there the SMI Brake company checked the bakes, I had trouble with. They took the controls and fixed them for me.
I needed four new van tires so those were changed and I have some guys checking on coach tires.
I saw some wonderful friends I hadn't seen for years and I got a lot more hugs and well wishes. It was good that I was there because Ira was going through a tough time this time last year. There will be many sad memories in the following months, so I'm glad I have my friends and so much to keep me busy.
While here at Pat's, she took me to "The Pool Room" for hamburgers. This is,Dawson county, where Nascar started and it was Bill Elliott's memorabilia restaurant. We visited Betty & Terry Minger for a day, went through a unique town Helen, a German town. She showed me where the Cabbage Patch dolls are born and some gold mining places. It was a very busy but fun week.
I will leave Tuesday, drive the van back to Perry Ga. for their Samboree.
Thanks, for checking in. I send my prayers and hugs to you. Rosemary
