Rangeley back to Randolph Maine

Monday July 13, 2009

We left for Rangeley on Friday.
We had a great weekend. We went kayaking up the river. The river was very high because of all the rain. It was a good trip, we fought the current but it wasn't that bad. We thought the ride back would be easy but the wind came up and we had to paddle against the wind. That should be good exercise for the arms. Ha!

Not many animals, when we went for our moose run. We only saw one deer. They must be on vacation, somewhere else. Oh well! Next time.

We went to a nice restaurant "The Gingerbread House" right there in Rangeley. We got a gift certificate from Al's daughter and family, so we went for lunch, too much to eat,so we took some home for the next day.

We went the next morning for breakfast because we didn't use up all the certificate. We ordered omelets , wow so big, too much . so we took that home for the next morning. We still have a little left so I guess we will have to go back for pie and coffee.

We went to the B-17 memorial. It's a plane that went down July 1944. I have to try to look that up for more information.

We are in Randolph now, Al is washing the van . We got it a little dirty with all the traveling and looking for animals. He just came in and said I'm going to mow the lawns. "No time for it tomorrow"

We are going to the Winterport/ Bangor area tomorrow. Lots to do and people to see up there.

I have to be truthfull, I'm not working out as much as I though I was going to. That may come later, but so far I don't think I'm tuning up too much.

so I will sigh off for now.
Have fun you all. Hug
