Hi, We are back from a great trip. 106 from the park went on the cruise.
We left here by bus , 5 hours, to Ft. Lauderdale.
Boarded ship, smooth boarding.
It took a while, 8 days, getting use to the ship. Is that in the front or the back, do we go up two flights or down five.
We used the stairs because, we knew we would be eating, a lot, so thought this would help.
We were really good about breakfast and lunch but Dinner was another challenge.
We did it up good at dinner. we usually shared three desserts. Well, it' s better to share than eating all three .
We had two dress up nights , they were fun. Lots of pictures were taken, every where we were and everything we did. We did good we got only one.
Weather was good.
Fun time doing the Panama Canal, WE took a bus to the Pacific coast, got on a tour boat.
We went into the first set of locks 27 feet rise, then into the next, 27 feet rise. out of that set, then a cruise to the next which took us up 31 feet. It was really neat. They are building a new wider canal. They hope to have it done in 2014 .
We followed a ship and there wasn't much room on the sides and we saw paint on the side of the canal as we went through. Tight places.
WE went to Costa Rica but only did the Flee market at the wharf . It was very interesting.
Others took tours but we didn't know about them before and all, we were interested in were taken. Rain forest, coffee and banana plantations.
Night sailing, then arrived in Balize. A cleaner place , fun shopping then a fifteen minute boat ride back to the ship.
Now back to reality, laundry, mail,,computer and having to get meals.
Oh Well, That's the price you have to pay.
Do what you can , when you can, Don't put off. Remember make memories
