Fryburge, Maine

Tues. Sept. 9,2008

Hi, Well I had a fantastic week. I arrived in Fryburge and spent Labor Day weekend with Prudy and her 5 grandchildren. They spent a lot of time in the coach playing cards and games. I always try to learn something new to teach the kids. They went home and had to go to school so I left for the fairgrounds and the Maine Samboree.

We had a lot of our Canadian friends come so that was an extra special joy for me. Barry wanted to know how the van was working and I had to confess I hadn't hooked the brake system up so no dead battery. I will know if it's the system when I get on the road this fall. I had to confess that while in Quebec my computer Internet bill was $281 ,$10 a minute. I was so thankful he stopped by and told me that there probably would be a charge. Can you imagine what it could have been, if he hadn't come by when he did. I gave him an extra hug.

I did a few seminars,a lot of talking, hugging and getting reacquainted. The Directors from Atlantic Canada, Mass , RI, NH and some past Directors came, so it was a good ending for the Northeast Region 5 area.

Sat. night we had an especially great time. I was lead astray by Sandy, my Que. friend. The music was great and not many people were dancing. Sandy said let's go, Rosemary, Well I couldn't refuse a fast dance. In a few minutes we had about 6 gals dancing, Husbands don't dance or don't do the fast ones. When the next fast dance came we got up and more joined. The group got bigger with each fast dance. We congoed around the room picking up more as we went. There was much laughter and fun. It was raining hard so a few times the line was lead out into the rain and back, a great way to cool off. I think I lost 5 lbs , I wish.

I wish to thank Barry, Perk and another fellow who asked me to dance.
I need to THANK there wives who told them to dance with me, so extra thanks to you. That was so much appreciated. It's hard for me to listen to great music and just sit. Thanks again.

The next morning we had great comments, never had so much fun. I never saw so many gals have so much fun. WE enjoyed doing and watching you guys. I know next year we will have more who will dare to join us.

After the Samboree, I drove off the grounds and back into Prudy's and Fred Canoe & Kayak yard. I'm here now for awhile.

Thanks, my very best friends who care what I do and where I go. Love you all. Prayers & Hugs Rosemary
